Circular of Gujarat Education Department regarding planning of (sixth) unit test to be taken in the month of January in Std. 9th to 12th
Various Home Learning Efforts have been undertaken by the Education Department of the State Government to ensure that students can get education even when schools are closed during the Covid-19 epidemic and to maintain continuity in studies. For which unit test is organized for the students of Std-09 to Std-12 at the end of every month. The following instructions should be taken into consideration for the sixth unit test of Std-09 and Std-12 to be held in January-2021.
Instructions:
The unit test of standard-09 to 12 will be held from 27th January 2021 to 30th January 2021.
The unit test question papers should be delivered to the students in hard or soft copy by 11:00 am on 27/01/2021.
The sixth unit test syllabus will last till December, the subject and syllabus details of which are given in the enclosure,
The unit test will be organized on the basis of the textbook published by Gujarat State School Textbook Board.
The unit test question papers will be sent to the District Education Officer from the e-mail address of this office on 22/01/2021 to your official and confidential e-mail address, along with the password protected. password will also be sent.
The District Education Officer will have to send the unit test question papers on 22/01/2021 to the official and confidential e-mail address of all SVS / QDC conveners of the district.
The SVS / QDC Convener will be required to send unit test question papers on 23/01/2021 to the principals of all the private / granted government secondary / higher secondary schools in their campus at their official and confidential e-mail address.
The Principal has to deliver both the relevant question papers in soft copy or hard copy to all the students at home by 11:00 am on 27/01/2021.
In the above chain ….. GSHSEB ➡️DEO ➡️SVS / QDC Convener ➡️ Principal will have to use a separate E-mail Address for unit test in each stage.
The unit test question papers will also be posted on the Board’s website www.gseb.org on 27/01/2021. So that students / parents can easily get question papers.
The Principal will have to give necessary instructions to the students to write the answers of the unit test of both the subjects in a separate notebook made at their convenience by 30/01/2021, self-disciplined, from home under the supervision of the guardian.
The answers written by the student in the notebook should be delivered in soft copy or hard copy to the principal of the school by 05/02/2021. Instruct parents / students who cannot come to school to send in soft copy.
Considering the situation of Covid-19, for planning planning, notebook acceptance and evaluation and other guidance, the instructions given in the letter dated 28/07/2021 and 13/08/2021 of this office should be planned.
The subjects and syllabus for the sixth unit test will be as shown in the enclosure.

Note: – According to the resolution of the education department dated 12/02/2020, in Std. 9 and Std. 10, Gujarati, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences while for Std. 11 and Std. For general stream English, Nama Basics, Commercial System, Psychology, Economics and Statistics unit test question papers have to be prepared from board level, apart from this it is desirable that standard and subject question papers be prepared by school and taken unit test at school level.
